Oceanfront Paradise:Luxurious 8-Bedroom Home with Pool and Spectacular Views!

Large (8 bedrooms) well-located house on the beach. Plenty of space. Nice pool. Plentiful beach and bathroom towels. Challenges - sparse and poor quality furniture in living room and great room. (A house this expensive should have decent furniture.) Kitchen sinks poorly designed making washing large items (pots, highchair trays) very challenging/big mess. All utility closets (think vacuum, cleaning supplies) stuffed with junk. Garage had broken furniture, broken window screens, non-working refrigerator, and a lot of other junk. No tissues provided. Some bedrooms did not have curtains or shades over some windows. Nonstick pots were scratched making them unusable (hazardous). This house needs an interior refresh - new furniture, kitchen improvements, thorough cleaning, more and better lighting. We've stayed in other houses that are the same size and proximate cost as this one. They were all significantly nicer.

This property was not in ready condition when we arrived. The pool was green. My son in law went to Home Depot and bought chemicals to clean the pool. No one came until Wednesday to check the pool. The outside refrigerator was not working. It was not fixed while we were there. The inside ice maker was not working. My son in law fixed it. Many light bulbs were not working. There were cob webs on the lamps. We bought bulbs. Several door handles were broken, toilet paper holders were broken and one toilet handle was broken. My son in law repaired all Of these. The ceramic floor was dirty. The cleaning crew came back and scrubbed the floor at our request as our feet were black after walking on the floor. We paid $47,000 for the weeks rental. We were given $1100 for these problems. We had requested $6000 as we missed two pool days and spent several days fixing things that were breaking. The staff came and looked at the place but never sent anyone to repair anything. Very poor response from this rental company. I would not use them again.

This property was perfect for our family of 11 adults and 8 children. Having 2 dishwashers for us was a bonus and being on the beach was great as we came and went at different times. The kids, ranging in ages 1-13, loved having a pool big enough for all of them to enjoy. Everything was clean, the gas grill was used. Our only problem was one of the two washing machines did not work. But since there were two, it was ok
